If you need medical attention outside of normal hours there are a number of options available to you:
NHS 111 - In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call 111 to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor. This service is free to call.
Pinn Medical Centre in Pinner open 8am to 8pm will see walk in patients not registered with them,37 Love Lane, Pinner HA5 3EE, 0208 866 5766.
GP Medical Centre in Hayes open from 8am to 8pm will see walk in patients not registered with them at 52 Station Rd, Hayes, UB3 4DS, 01895 486020.
Urgent Care Centre at Hillingdon Hospital accessed via A&E. This unit is open between 9am to midnight 7 days a week. It is a GP lead service. Anyone attending the A&E department inappropriately, meaning they should be seen by their GP, will be told to contact their surgery to make an appointment.
Urgent Care Centre at Northwick Park Hosp accessed via A&E. This unit is open between 8am to 11pm Sun-Thurs and 8am-midnight Frid & Sat. Anyone attending the A&E department inappropriately, meaning they should be seen by their GP, will be told to contact their surgery to make an appointment.
Minor Injuries Unit at Mount Vernon Hospital. This unit is open between 9am-8pm, 7 days a week. This is a Nurse lead service and you will be treated on an emergency basis only. The list below gives details of what is treated at the MIU (not for under 5 year olds).
- Cuts, grazes and bruising
- Wounds, including those that may need stitches
- Minor burns and scalds
- Tetanus immunisation after an injury
- Removal of foreign bodies from eyes, nose or ears
- Minor eye problems, including removal of contact lenses
- Insect bites or other animal bites including dog bites
- Minor head injuries where there has been no loss of consciousness or vomiting
- Removal of rings, earrings and studs
- Minor injuries to legs below the knee and arms
