THIS SERVICE IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR PATIENTS REGISTERED WITH THIS SURGERY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF YELLOW FEVER.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel. Vaccinations will be given at the first appointment. We have the most common travel vaccinations available, however some vaccinations need to be ordered (AWCY, Tickborne, Rabies for example) If you require a second appointment this needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
We are a Yellow Fever Centre and this is available for a fee of £50.00. An appointment needs to be made with the Travel Clinic for the administration.
If you require anti-malaria tablets these can be brought over the counter, however some have to be prescribed by your GP this would be on a private prescription.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
NHS no charge for : Tetanus Diptheria and Polio, Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Hepatitis A & B combined.

Pease note you will be charged for a private prescription at the chemist plus the cost of the vaccine
